How Frequently Should You Practice Yoga?
The popularity of Yoga couldn’t be overstated. Everywhere you go, people are talking about it or doing it. I frequently see people in the parks, streets and even Times Square!
An article in the New York Times, Yoga Is More Than Just Showing Up, but That Does Help, discusses how the practice of Yoga is changing. Yoga should not be considered a supplement or addition to your regular workout - Yoga should be your workout (if enlightenment is your goal)!
I understand the value that Yoga offers and I might even agree with the author; but for the sake of variety, I like to change-up my workout. For me, Yoga is a great exercise because it focuses on stretching, which complements a workout of weight lifting and running.
Later in life, I can see myself practicing Yoga more frequently, but I’m not ready to give up weight lifting and running yet!
