Kate Hudson Launches Eco-Hair Care Line with David Babaii for WildAid

Tuesday evening I had the extreme pleasure of attending a glamorous, albeit steamy, party for the launch of Kate Hudson’s new eco hair care line, David Babaii for Wild Aid, in partnership with her long time hairstylist David Babaii. The collection launched at the fabulous emporium ABC Carpet & Home in New York City’s Flatiron District. For those not in the know, ABC could not have been a more perfect fit — as a retailer they are committed to offering products that serve communities and give back to causes having established ABC Home & Planet Foundation.
With Ms. Hudson being Babaii’s long time muse and he her long time hair stylist, the union seems to be a natural one with them both sharing a passion for animal rights advocacy. This will be the first hair care line supporting animal rights with 10% of the revenue benefiting the global wildlife conservation organization, Wild Aid. After three years in development, Mr. Babaii, who jokes that his products weren’t tested on animals, but on Kate, has developed a line that is free of sulfates, parabens, petrochemicals and animal products. All the things I’m passionate about not having in our beauty and grooming products. And the products themselves, WOW! Of course, trying them was a must for this piece. The products are rich with renewable and natural ingredients: voluminizing volcanic ash, blue algae, wild orchid, kiwi, mango - just to name a few. It’s like a veritable trip to the exotic with every use AND you’re giving back. My new favorites are already the Bohemian Beach Spray — aptly named as Kate is the original Bohemian rocker, artsy chick, and the Hair Polish which kept my hair smooth and frizz free in 98 degree NYC heat.
After the launch at ABC, these products will roll out into mass market. In the meantime, if you can’t get to New York, David Babaii for WildAid has the full product offering.
Doing good is indeed beautiful.

i’m so glad to hear about this line- and it’s nice to know that pretty Kate is doing some pretty good things as well.
By the way, your healthy skin care series was FANTASTIC.
I’ve been using all the products from Kate and David’s line and they are fantastic! And, thank you so much re healthy skin series. I truly have seen a change in my skin for the better by getting rid of all the extra chemicals..
