During our ritual weekly dog walk in Central Park my friend Colleen whipped out a treat for her sweet Pongo. Except this week it was something different. She placed it on the ground. I watched as he licked a tub of frozen yogurt clean; he really loved it, with his little nose deep inside the smell of Peanut Butter. It was so humorous to watch that I almost forgot how healthy this snack really was for her dog.

Ok, so maybe frozen yogurt isn’t the first thing on your mind when you think of cooling off your pup during a heat wave, but believe it: organic yogurt is a healthy treat for your dog. (more…)
